My imagery draws on configurations and textures in the natural world and I exploit the expressive nature of printmaking media to construct evocative layers of interwoven images. Previous work includes collaboration with biologists leading to an exploration of ephemeral plant forms. In my work, drawing, mark making, colour and texture become a means of interpreting experience and emotion.
I gained a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art followed by an MA in Studio Practice at Lancaster University. I taught on Lancaster’s Art Degree programme and at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal. My work has been selected for exhibitions countrywide, and I also exhibit with Green Door Studio Artists and Impress Artist Printmakers.
