Stuart paints in oils and acrylics from photographs and sketches, he tries hard to produce atmospheric images, in particular big skies. He is fascinated by attempting to capture their fleeting nature, softness and occasionally sheer brutality.
If the drama is not there in the moment, then he will often add some in the studio later.
